Nighthawk is the best producing son of Lazy N Redboy. His paternal grandsire is the immortal Rowdy. His dam is a granddaughter of the legendary Bond Showboy.
Nighthawk won the 2002 and 2003 AMHA Get-of-Sire Championships. He is a World Top-10 Stallion and is the leading 2003 World Futurity Sire out of 108 nominations. He also is a Supreme Halter horse.
More than 15 of his direct descendants have been recorded as World show title winners.
The major part (60.6%) of Nighthawks foal crop has been registered in the name of Limestone Miniatures in Kentucky.
Champion Farms Nighthawk has 142 foals registered with AMHA of which 40.1% stallions and 54.9% mares. 4.9% of the horses went into the records as geldings. Nighthawk, measuring 33.75" (85.7 cm) produced adult AMHA-registered offspring averaging 33.3" (84.6 cm). 1 of his children appeared to be oversized upon reaching permanent certification. Nighthawk produced 17 different colors of the AMHA 80-color range. As a bay pinto, he produced 40,4% bay colored foals (either solid or pinto). Of all the colors he threw 40.4% were solid and 56.7% pinto. |
