s: Sligo Little Stormy Palomino
d: Ruth Haynes Moto 1981
AMHA registered foals per January 14, 2011: 158 h: 30.5" - 77.5 cm
Both Dels Cowboy and his prominent grandsire, Sligo Sam, have been registered with an unknown breeder.
His dam, Ruth Haynes Moto, was the first official AMHA World Champion Mare in 1979. Her sire is the well known Double O Seven Moto who was born in 1969 from unknown parentage. He sired a number of National Show title winners. For as far us the records can tell us, Dels Cowboy might bring an original bloodline, not related to the main stream bloodlines. However, this cannot be confirmed as the unknown parentage, most likely, might have had genetic relationships further back in the pedigrees. Even though a relationship may exist, it so many generations back, that it is relatively insignificant.

Dels Cowboy won the following championships in the showring:
1986 AMHA World Reserve Champion Senior Stallion >30"<32";
1987 AMHA World Reserve Champion Senior Stallion >30"<32".

As per the date of the update Dels Cowboy produced for AMHA 11 World Champions, 5 Reserve World Champions and 59 World Top-10 Champion Titles.

Dels Cowboys offspring has been produced by a large variety of breeders: 28.5% has been registered in the name of Robins Nest Ranch (Robin Miller) in Placerville California; 19% of the foals got Landrys as a prefix in their name; another 19% was registered as Magnolia Farm horses and Hunt House Farms with 9.5% as the largest breeders. Other breeders include well know names such as Groshill, Lucky Four and the legendary Vern Brewer.

Dels Cowboy has 158 foals registered with AMHA of which 39.9% stallions and 49.4% mares. 10.8% of the horses went into the records as geldings. Dels Cowboy, measuring 30.5" (77.5 cm) produced adult AMHA-registered offspring averaging 31.2" (79.2 cm). Dels Cowboy is quite a color breeder. He produced 28 different colors of the AMHA 80-color range. As a palomino, he produced 26.6% palominos (either solids or pinto). All the colors he threw 55.1% were solid and 31% pintos.  6.4% of his foals were roans.
