Because of his tragic death in a barn-fire Flying Wind Farms Little Blue Boy only became 11 years old. In his relatively short life he produced 143 AMHA registered foals. They, however, won numerous championships, including the following titles:
4 AMHA World Grand Championships;
2 AMHA Reserve Grand Championships;
24 AMHA World Championships;
16 AMHA Reserve World Championships;
50 AMHA World Top-10 Titles.
Although Flying Wind Farms Little Blue Boy died over 20 years ago, his heritage continues to win in the show ring today.
Flying Wind Farms Little Blue Boy was a true mini-Arabian with a lot of refinement, presence and a beautiful head with a dished face. Even his color was classic Arabian: dapple gray!
He put a genetic stamp on most of his descendants. Excellent line-breeding by his owners, the Wagner-family, have preserved his type. You quite often can tell a miniature that he/she is from Blue Boy blood!

Flying Wind Farms Little Blue Boy is in the same league as other outstanding Foundation Sire, like Boones Little Buckeroo and Gold Melody Boy. Blue Boy also was the leading sire of champions at the time of his death.
Flying Wind Farms Little Blue Boy has only 143 foals registered with AMHA of which 35% stallions and a remarkable high ratio of mares: 64.3%. 0.7% of the horses went into the records as geldings. Blue Boy, measuring 30" (76.2 cm) produced adult AMHA-registered offspring averaging 31.8" (80.8 cm). 1 of his children appeared to be oversized. His smallest foal measured 26.75" (67.9 cm) upon reaching permanent certification.
FWF Little Blue Boy produced 16 different colors of the AMHA 80-color range. Being a dapple grey, he produced 79.0% solid colors and 7.0 % pintos.
Flying Wind Farms Little Blue Boy offspring will breed successfully to almost any other bloodline. |
