Considering his All Time Futurity ranking, Little Kings Black Velvet could claim the title of best producing son of Boones Little Buckeroo. Velvet seats in the 6th place in the AMHA Top-10 ranking of All Time Futurity Sires. He is the 2003 AMHA Reserve World Champion Get-of-Sire, 1997 World Top-10 Senior Stallions 32-34", 1998 AMHA World Top-10 Get-of-Sire.
Being the flagship of the famous Buckeroo<>Little King Supreme Cross at Little King Farm, Velvet reached stardom when he was acquired by Lucky Four Farms in 1993. There he appeared to form a 'Golden Cross' with Sid Rebels' daughters. Till today Velvet produced over 15 individual World Show title winners. Two of his most important son, CH Steel Magnum and Libertymeres Velvet Buckeroo, both multiple AMHA World Champion, are in Europe.

Over 51% of Little Kings Black Velvets foals have been registered as Lucky Four horses.

Black Velvet has 184 foals registered with AMHA of which roughly 44.0% stallions and almost 48.4% mares. 7.6% of the horses went into the records as geldings.
