Sierra Dawn Unos Monarch is the best producing son of Sierra Dawn Uno de Mayo. He is listed as number 7 in the AMHA Top-10 ranking of All Time Futurity Sires. He also won a lot of championships in the showring: AMHA World Champion Senior Stallion 28-30", AMHA World Champion Futurity colt 28-30", Multiple AMHA World Top-10, World Top-10 Get-Of-Sire, etc. 15 of his direct descendants have been recorded as World show title winners.
Sierra Dawn Unos Monarchs maternal grand-sire, Shadow Oaks Paul Bunyan, goes back, mutliple times, to the American Shetlands Crescent and Larigo from the 4th generation and onward. This fact reveals a genetic relationship with the legendary Foundation Sires, Gold Melody Boy and Rowdy.
Sierra Dawn Unos Monarch has 153 foals registered with AMHA of which 46.4% stallions and 49.0% mares. 4.6% of the horses went into the records as geldings. Monarch, measuring 30" (76.2 cm) produced adult AMHA-registered offspring averaging 32.2" (81.5 cm). Monarch produced 17 different colors of the AMHA 80-color range. As a black pinto, he produced 45.1% black colored foals (either solid or pinto). Of all the colors he threw 42.5% were solid and 53.6% pinto. |
